Substitute allows it to avoid being hit by status moves such as Toxic or Leech Seed. Shadow Ball is a strong stab move that goes generally unresisted by the majority of the tier. Whisk Away is an alternative that can be used that can be helpful versus the likes of . Hidden Power Fighting is key for Spectreon to work. It hits the Dark-types and Normal types Spectreon struggles against such as Tyranitar, Kingambit, Ting-Lu, Roaring Moon, Garganacl, Blissey and Ursaluna. A Bulkier variant can be ran with 252 HP EVs and 252 Defense EVs and Bold Nature. This set can also utilize Calm Mind over Nasty Plot. This exchanges immediate power for a bulkier build that lets it live hits from the likes of EQ Garganacl behind a sub, or Sucker Punch from Kingambit.
